Assam: A teacher at Barsakabaha Primary School in Morigaon district was detained by Jaluguti police yesterday following accusations of sexually assaulting a class III student.
The incident triggered a heated confrontation at the school when the parents and local residents confronted the accused teacher, Zuahir Hussain.
Eyewitnesses reported that the situation escalated, leading to a physical assault on the teacher by the gathered crowd. Police intervened to prevent further escalation and apprehended the teacher.
An investigation into the serious allegations is currently underway.
