Guwahati: A shocking case of gang rape has come to light in Sonapur, where a 14-year-old girl was subjected to a prolonged and brutal sexual assault allegedly perpetrated by four men. The heinous crime was only discovered when the girl’s family noticed her pregnancy and questioned her about her condition.
The victim then revealed the repeated assaults and threats she had endured, which she had kept silent about due to fear and shame. The family subsequently filed a complaint with the Sonapur police, who promptly apprehended four suspects identified as Bikash Karmakar, Bishnu Kariya, Ravi Karmakar, and Ranjan Karmakar.
The authorities are currently investigating the possibility of additional individuals being involved in the crime. The Sonapur police have launched a thorough investigation into the incident and are committed to bringing all those responsible to justice.
