The brazen act has ignited widespread fury among local residents and various religious organisations.

Reports indicate that unidentified miscreants, under the cover of late night, trespassed onto the temple premises and began their destructive spree. Banamali Das, the temple secretary, rushed to the scene upon hearing the commotion and was allegedly bitten on the hand by one of the fleeing culprits. The police have since recovered clothes and a mobile phone believed to belong to the perpetrators from the temple grounds, crucial leads for their swift investigation.
