Assam: Tezpur Woman Stabbed to Death by Brother in Unprovoked Attack

Tezpur— A tragic incident unfolded in the Natunpara area of Tezpur on October 19, when a young woman was fatally stabbed by her brother, Abhishek Mallik.

Reports indicate that the attack occurred around 1 PM when their family members were not present in the house.

Witnesses allege that Abhishek, the son of former Tezpur B.Ed College principal Jayanta Mallik, launched a sudden and unprovoked assault on his sister, Arpita Mallik, stabbing her in the abdomen.

The severity of her injuries necessitated immediate medical attention, and she was quickly rushed to a nearby hospital. However, despite desperate attempts to save her life, Arpita succumbed to her injuries while en route to the hospital.
