Assam: Three Arrested in Computer Theft Case at Nagaon Medical College

Assam: Assam’s Nagaon Police have arrested three individuals, including two medical students, in connection with the theft of computers from Nagaon Medical College and Hospital. The incident involved the robbery of seven computers from the institution on Friday.

According to Debajit Das, Officer-in-Charge of Nagaon Sadar Police Station, the arrested students were pursuing an MBBS course at the college, while the third accused, a driver, is reportedly linked to a car-lifting gang operating in the district.

The arrests were made on Friday, following swift action by the police. A case was registered, and the accused were produced before a local court on Saturday, where they were remanded to judicial custody.

The incident has raised concerns over security at the medical college, prompting calls for stricter measures to safeguard institutional property. Police investigations are ongoing to uncover any further connections to the theft.
