Assam: Three Bangladeshi Nationals Detained in Cachar District

Guwahati, 6th November: Three Bangladeshi nationals were apprehended in Katigorah, Assam’s Cachar district.

According to reports, these individuals were picked up by the local village defense organization near the Kinnakhal market, situated along the India-Bangladesh border.

Local residents grew suspicious of the three persons due to their activities in the area on Sunday night. As a result, the defense organization took action and detained them.

During interrogation, the trio confessed to being residents of Bangladesh and admitted to illegally entering Cachar with the intention of smuggling cattle back to Bangladesh.

Following the incident, the village defense organization immediately informed the Cachar Police, who arrived at the scene and took custody of the three Bangladeshi nationals.

It’s worth noting that various illegal items, including sharp weapons, were found in the possession of the detained individuals. However, their identities are yet to be disclosed.
