Assam: Three held with 96.73 grams of heroin in Guwahati
Guwahati: A police team from Basistha Police Station and the Special Task Force (STF) of the Assam Police during an operation in Khanapara and Rukmini Nagar, Guwahati, apprehended three suspected drug peddlers.
During the arrest, the police also succeeded in seizing a significant quantity of heroin.

The seized items include 72 vials of suspected heroin, weighing 96.73 grams, as well as 31 empty vials, cash worth Rs 13,840, two mobile phones, and a scooter bearing registration number AS01ET1156.
The heroin seized is valued at a significant amount of nearly 60 lakh.

The apprehended individuals have been identified as Khirud Doley, 25, a resident of Rukmini Nagar Uday Nagar Path, Dispur; Rituraj Patir, 23, a resident of Dhakuakhana, Bakulguri Chariali, Lakhimpur; and Deka Bhaskar Pegu, 28, a resident of Rukmini Gaon Parijat Path, Dispur.
Police are continuing to investigate the matter and are expected to take further action against the accused.
