Assam: Three Killed in Devastating Road Accident in Sonapur

Guwahati: A tragic road accident in Jogdol, Sonapur, early this morning claimed the lives of three individuals. The incident occurred when a vehicle, registered under AS21AC3309, was traveling from Jagiroad to Guwahati and crashed into a stationary truck (AS01PC5651) parked on the roadside.

The impact of the collision was fatal, instantly killing all three passengers in the vehicle. The deceased have been identified as Sofikul Islam (26), Sakil Ahmed (18), and Mustak Ahmed (18), all residents of Moirabari, Morigaon.

Sources from the police revealed that the victims were on their way to Guwahati to purchase goods when the accident took place. The bodies have been taken to Sonapur District Hospital, where a somber atmosphere of grief surrounds the facility. Family members of the deceased have yet to arrive at the hospital.

The Sonapur police are currently investigating the incident. Meanwhile, locals have voiced their concerns over reckless driving and the lack of adequate road safety measures in the area, urging authorities to take swift action to prevent such tragedies in the future.
