Assam: Three Youths Killed as Car Falls Into Ditch In Kaliabor

Guwahati, 12th January: In a heartbreaking incident on Thursday night, a major road accident claimed the lives of three youths from the same village in Kaliabor of Assam’s Nagaon district.

The victims, identified as Arjun Toti, Amrit Biswas, and Rahul Biswas, met with the incident while traveling towards Missmari.

The Mahindra Varito vehicle they were in, bearing registration number ‘AS-12J-6909,’ lost control and plunged into a ditch adjacent to the four-lane highway.

The accident is suspected to have occurred due to dense fog, severely impairing visibility for the driver.

Unfortunately, all three individuals succumbed to their injuries on the spot.

This unfortunate event follows closely after the Dergaon accident earlier this month, where a bus carrying 45 picnic-goers collided with an oncoming coal-laden truck, resulting in the loss of at least 12 lives.

These incidents highlight the pressing need for an immediate evaluation of fog and visibility conditions to bolster road safety measures.
