Assam: Tiger Poisoned to death in Kaziranga
Guwahati: An adult tiger’s carcass has been recovered in Kaziranga National Park of Assam on Tuesday morning.
According to forest officials, preliminary investigations indicate that the tiger died as a result of poisoning.
“Vomit marks were discovered near the carcass, indicating that the tiger had been poisoned,” an official said.
In addition, a cow carcass was also discovered in the area.
As per reports, the cow was allegedly poisoned by some miscreants before being used as a lure to poison the tiger.
It may be mentioned that the carcass has now been sent for a post mortem and further investigation into the matter has been initiated.
