Assam: Tinsukia dist admin imposes restrictions on bans pillion riding, bursting of firecrackers ahead of Diwali
Guwahati: The Tinsukia District Administration implemented section 144 CrPC prior to Diwali.
Illegal gatherings and assemblies are absolutely prohibited during this time, as is yelling slogans across the district.
Most notably, other than during Deepawali days, the district forbids the sale and bursting of fireworks and firecrackers.
Pillion riding on bikes and other two-wheeled vehicles has also been prohibited by the administration because it could be used by anti-social elements, rebel groups, and outfits, as well as their sympathisers, to carry out subversive actions.
In a notification, the admin also prohibited forcible collection or donation for any purpose from shops and business establishments, individuals etc.
Moreover, it is forbidden to forcibly collect or donate from moving automobiles in the Tinsukia region for whatever reason.
It is against the law to ride a two-wheeler without a helmet.
The use of seat belts while driving is prohibited.
It is not permitted to use loudspeakers, P. A. systems, microphones, etc. in any public area.
It should be noted that the order will go into force on Saturday, October 15, 2022.
