Assam: A shocking incident has come to light in Assam’s Doomdooma, where a 14-year-old girl was allegedly raped by seven individuals, including four minors. The Tinsukia Police have arrested the seven accused, and an investigation is underway.
According to Tinsukia Superintendent of Police, Gaurav Abhijit Dilip, the girl was lured to a secluded spot while playing with friends and taken to a different location where the alleged rape occurred. The victim, now 23 weeks pregnant, has undergone medical examination, and the report confirms sexual assault. The police have gathered evidence and will soon file a charge sheet to ensure justice is served.
The incident was initially concealed due to threats from the accused persons’ families to the victim’s family. However, after women’s groups and social organizations intervened, the matter was reported to the police, leading to the arrests.
