Assam: Tinsukia Police Investigate Alleged Threats Against Minor Girl; Initial Findings Show Discrepancies

Guwahati, 18th August: The Tinsukia Police are investigating claims that a minor girl from Tinsukia College was threatened by a group of 8-10 boys, with implications reminiscent of the recent tragic death of a doctor in Kolkata. The incident allegedly occurred near ATC Mall and was first brought to attention through social media.

However, preliminary investigations have revealed inconsistencies between the social media claims and CCTV footage from the area. The girl’s friend initially shared the incident online, sparking public concern. Yet, after careful review of the available evidence, including CCTV recordings, police have found that the reported events may not match what actually transpired.

The Tinsukia Police have stated that they are continuing to investigate the situation thoroughly to establish the facts and ensure the safety and well-being of all individuals involved.
