Assam to Host 4th Asian Kho Kho Championship

Guwahati: Assam will play host to the 4th Asian Kho Kho Championship (Men and Women) in Tamulpur under the sponsorship of the Kho Kho Federation of India. The Assam Kho Kho Association made this announcement at the Hotel City Palace in Guwahati.

According to reports, at least 14 nations will compete in the competition.

Indian, Bangladeshi, Bhutanese, Indonesian, Iranian, Iraqi, Malaysian, Nepalese, Pakistani, Singaporean, South Korean, United Arab Emirates, Azerbaijani and Sri Lankan are the nations.

The competition will take place from March 20 to March 23.

The competition will feature more than 400 athletes.

The selection procedure for the Indian team will take place from March 14 to March 18 at Sarusajai Stadium in Guwahati and the results will be announced on the evening of March 18.

Meanwhile, over Rs. 4 crores has been allocated for the championship.

Chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma will be present at the Asian Kho Kho Championship’s opening ceremony. He will be joined by Lieutenant General Rana Pratap Kalita for the inauguration.

The championship’s anthem was released today.
