Assam to witness fresh rain spell during next 5 days
Guwahati: India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicts widespread mild to moderate rainfall for Assam during the next five days. The full five-day forecast period has been covered by a yellow watch from the IMD.
Residents are urged to pay attention to their local weather conditions by the notice.
The weather department also issued a warning for numerous states regarding heavy to extremely heavy rains over the ensuing two to three days.
“The monsoon trough at mean sea level runs south of its normal position. It is likely to persist in the same location during the next 2-3 days”, said the weather department.
“A cyclonic circulation lies over interior Odisha & adjoining Chhattisgarh in lower and middle tropospheric levels tilting southwestwards with height,” the weather department added.
IMD forecasted that it is likely that the country’s maximum temperature will fluctuate much over the course of the next five days.
Fairly widespread light to moderate intensity rain is also anticipated in Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura over the next five days.
