Guwahati, 6th September: New details have emerged regarding the tragic road accident that occurred late on Tuesday night in Kakopathar, Tinsukia district, Assam, claiming the lives of seven individuals.
According to reports, the accident left 11 people injured, including five in critical condition who remain in intensive care.
The identities of the deceased have been confirmed as Paben Moran, the Tata Magic driver, along with Bili Baruah, Rini Gogoi, Mihidhar Neog, and Jonali Moran. However, the identities of two other deceased victims are yet to be determined.
The accident took place when a group of individuals, returning from the weekly market in Doom Dooma town, collided with an oncoming truck near Kakopathar. The Tata Magic vehicle, bearing registration number AR 20A 1093, was involved in the collision.
Initial reports indicated that the truck driver was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident.
