Assam: Tragic Bakery Worker Death in Hojai District
Guwahati, 1st November: A tragic incident has unfolded in Assam’s Hojai district, where a bakery worker lost his life after being reportedly beaten by a coworker. The incident occurred at ‘Ruchi Bakery’ in the Abhaypur area. The victim, identified as Dhaneswar Deka, allegedly suffered fatal blows from a stick wielded by another bakery worker, Upen Kari.
The motive behind this shocking assault remains unclear. It is reported that Upen repeatedly struck Deka with the stick, causing severe injuries that ultimately led to his untimely death. Subsequently, Upen fled from the bakery.
Local police, upon receiving the information, arrived at the scene, recovered the victim’s body for post-mortem examination, and initiated an investigation. The bakery owner, Nayanjyoti Thakuria, is presently under questioning in connection with this tragic case.
