Assam: Tragic Road Accident in Kaziranga, 2 Dead

Guwahati: As many as two people were killed in a road accident at Kaziranga under Golaghat district of Assam on Saturday morning.

As per reports, the accident took place near Haldhibari area of National Highway no 37.

Reportedly, the deceased were travelling in a van which collided with a truck parked nearby the road.

The driver of the van suffered severe injuries while the two other were killed on the spot.

The injured driver was taken to a hospital after the incident and was admitted in critical condition.

The identities of the deceased have not yet been determined.

Earlier, in a road accident two people were injured and several others were injured in Rangia, Assam.

The deceased were travelling in a Maruti Swift car which was involvedin an accident on national route 27.

According to reports, the incident took place at a village of Batkuchi where the driver lost control of the car.

Reportedly, the tragic incident took place while the family was travelling from Mangaldoi to Barpeta to attend a wedding.

The incident resulted in the immediate death of two people who have been identified as Shiv Prasad Baruah and Chandrama Baruah.

Meanwhile, four other people were injured in the incident including a 4-year-old child. The injured were all sent immediately to a nearby hospital.
