Assam: Train services affected in Haflong Railway Station due to waterlogging
Guwahati: Train services were disrupted in Haflong after the new Haflong railway station in Assam was flooded on Sunday as a result of continuous and heavy rain over the previous few days.
Heavy rains pounded numerous sections of the state on Sunday causing flooding at the Haflong railway station.
Flooding in Assam’s Dima Hasao district disturbed normal life, leaving hundreds of travellers stuck at the railway station.
Meanwhile, fake floods induced by heavy rains in Assam have displaced nearly 25,000 people across six districts.
In addition, three persons including a woman died in landslides in Haflong in Dima Hasao district, yesterday as a result of the continuous rains.
Following the continuous rains, the water levels in various rivers are progressively rising, and the Kopili River is now flowing above the danger level.
