Assam: Trolley Trucks Breach No-Entry Hours in Dhubri, Raising Eyebrows and Public Ire

Guwahati: Dhubri town witnessed a brazen violation of traffic regulations as multiple large trolley trucks were observed entering the area during prohibited no-entry hours, igniting public concern regarding the efficacy of law enforcement and the potential for corrupt practices.

The daytime incursion of these heavy vehicles has incensed local inhabitants, who are now openly questioning how such blatant disregard for established restrictions, designed to alleviate traffic congestion and safeguard pedestrians during peak times, could occur.

Whispers of possible collusion or oversight within the traffic police department are growing louder amongst the community, fueled by claims that such infractions are becoming a disturbingly regular occurrence.

A visibly agitated resident residing along Charmaine Road voiced the sentiments of many, stating, “Are the traffic authorities oblivious to what’s happening, or are these violations facilitated by illicit agreements? It seems anything is possible in Dhubri these days.”

Despite clearly displayed and widely publicized no-entry timings intended to prevent gridlock in the already crowded town, the repeated sightings of these oversized trucks during these restricted periods have led many to conclude that traffic police enforcement in Dhubri is either woefully inadequate or unfairly implemented.

In response to this apparent breakdown in traffic management, concerned citizens are now urgently calling for immediate intervention from the district police administration, demanding a comprehensive inquiry into the conduct of traffic officials and emphasizing the critical need for stringent accountability and transparent oversight to reinstate order on Dhubri’s roadways.
