Guwahati: Assam police seized a huge cache of suspected cannabis (ganja) inside two suitcases and two people were arrested from Karimganj district of Assam.
According to reports, the seizure took place on Wednesday by the Karimganj police based on intelligence input.
The arrested persons were identified as Debjani Sarkar (mother) and Rasen Sarkar (son) who were arrested by the police based on specific inputs.
However, the duo was taking the contraband substances from Tripura to Guwahati.
Further investigation into the matter is underway.
