Guwahati: Two persons was arrested by the Assam police for allegedly being involved in stealing mobile phones from Hailakandi district on Tuesday.
The incident took place on March 4 in the district where mobile phones worth over Rs 25 lakh were stolen from a business company.
As per the sources of MyNewsNE, both the accused was tracked with the help of CCTV footage.
Acting on a tip-off, a team of Hailakandi Sadar police station, led by officer-in-charge MP Dawlagapur, took out a search operation and recovered mobile phones worth around Rs 20 lakh last night.
However, identity of both the accused is yet to be ascertained.
Meanwhile, the owner of the shop applauded Hailakandi police and is also hopping that the police will able to recover the remaining stolen mobiles as well.
