Assam: Two dead after boat capsizes in Golaghat
Guwahati, 4th July: In a tragic incident in Mahuramukh, Golaghat, Assam, a boat accident in the floodwaters of the Brahmaputra River resulted in the deaths of two young men. The accident occurred as the two men were trying to reach a tree using a dilapidated boat.
The boat, which was carrying five youths, capsized during the attempt. Lahan Mahli and Paplu Das lost their lives in the accident. The other three, Raj Das, Mausum Das, and Dipjyoti Mahli, were critically injured and have been hospitalized.
Local residents acted swiftly, rescuing the survivors from the floodwaters and transporting them to the nearest hospital for treatment.
