Assam: Two held after Mumbai crime branch raids multiple locations in Juria

Guwahati, 8th November: In their ongoing battle against cybercrime, the Mumbai Crime Branch, in collaboration with the state police, launched a comprehensive raid in various locations in Juria of Assam on November 8.

The crackdown was prompted by the alarming increase in cybercrime activities across the country.

The joint operation involved efforts from both the Mumbai police and Juria police.

During the operation, two individuals, identified as Saqlin Mushtaq from Dhing village in Juria and Abdur Rahman from Batmari, were apprehended.

In addition to the arrests, police recovered various incriminating documents and materials commonly used in the commission of cybercrimes.

Notably, the Mumbai Crime Branch team is actively seeking several other individuals from Nagaon district involved in cybercrime activities.

The arrested duo is currently undergoing interrogation by the Crime Branch team to gather more information and uncover additional details related to their cybercrime activities.
