Guwahati, 7th April: A heartbreaking incident unfolded at Manikpur in Bongaigaon district, where two teenagers went missing while bathing in the Manas river at Bashbari No. 1, under the jurisdiction of Manikpur police station.
Earlier in the day, a total of five teenagers were reported missing in the river following their bath. However, due to the prompt action of locals, three were rescued, leaving two unaccounted for.
SDRF (State Disaster Response Force) personnel have arrived at the scene and are tirelessly conducting the rescue operation. The missing juveniles have been identified as Rakibul Islam and Abdur Rahim.
Meanwhile, local residents are actively assisting in the search operation, even as concerns mount that the boys may have drowned. The community remains hopeful for a positive outcome as efforts to locate the missing teenagers continue.
