Assam: Two Young Men Killed by Train While Gaming on Tracks in Hojai
Guwahati, 2nd October: A tragic incident unfolded in Assam’s Hojai district when two young men lost their lives after being struck by a speeding train. The victims, identified as Aftab Ali and *Sharifuddin, both hailing from the *Bhuyanpatti locality, were reportedly sitting on the railway tracks, oblivious to their surroundings.
According to sources, the duo was engrossed in an online game and wearing headphones at the time of the accident. This distraction likely prevented them from hearing the approaching train, which contributed to the fatal incident.
Local authorities responded promptly to the scene following notifications of the accident, recovering the bodies for further examination. The remains have been sent for a post-mortem examination as part of an ongoing investigation into the circumstances surrounding the tragedy.
