Assam: Unclaimed Bag Triggers Panic at Guwahati ISBT on Republic Day

Guwahati: An unclaimed bag near Guwahati’s Inter-State Bus Terminal (ISBT) on the morning of January 26, India’s 76th Republic Day, triggered a brief moment of panic among the public.

Concerns over a potential explosive device prompted a swift response from the Guwahati police, who cordoned off the area as a precautionary measure.

While a thorough search was conducted, the bag was ultimately found to contain no suspicious items.

In another incident, an unprecedented chaos erupted near Guwahati’s Beharbari following a loud, mysterious explosion.

The blast, which occurred at the Lalmati Brahmaputra parking area during the Republic Day celebrations, sent shockwaves through the neighborhood.

While the source of the explosion remains under investigation, police officials and authorities have launched an inquiry into the matter and a police team has been dispatched to the location.
