Guwahati, 1st February: In a tragic incident, the body of an unidentified young girl was recovered on the railway tracks in Dhemaji of Assam on February 1.
Railway Protection Force (RPF) officials while conducting their regular patrolling, found the body early in the morning at Sisiborgaon in Dhemaji.
The girl, estimated to be around 17 years old, is suspected to have been murdered and her body dumped on the rail tracks.
The girl’s body was found covered with garbage on the rail track, with her sandals and jacket recovered in a pit nearby.
As of now, the girl’s identity remains unknown and the RPF is investigating the suspected murder.
The body is currently placed beside the rail track as authorities work to gather more details.
