Assam: Unidentified Insect Infestation Plagues Dalgaon Middle School, Raises Alarm

Guwahati, 9th May: Dalgaon Middle School in Kaliabor is facing a distressing situation as it grapples with an ongoing invasion of unidentified insects, causing widespread concern among students and faculty.

For several weeks, the school has been besieged by thousands of these mysterious insects, sparking anxiety and uncertainty about the potential risks they may pose. The infestation has escalated to the point where both students and the chairman of the managing committee have been affected, exacerbating the urgency to address the issue.

The exact identity and origin of these insects remain shrouded in mystery, leaving authorities and experts perplexed as they endeavor to identify and contain the source of the infestation. Witnesses describe the insects as small, agile, and resistant to conventional pest control methods, heightening apprehensions about their ability to proliferate and cause harm.

Expressing deep concern over the impact of the infestation, a teacher at Dalgaon Middle School spoke on condition of anonymity, highlighting the strain it has placed on the school’s learning environment. “Our students are constantly on edge, and it’s becoming increasingly challenging to maintain focus on academics amidst this persistent threat,” the teacher remarked.
