Assam: Unidentified Youth Found Dead on Railway Track in Chirang
Chirang– In a tragic turn of events, the body of an unidentified youth was discovered on a railway track in Maheshwari, Bijni, around midnight on Monday, October 22.
The deceased was located near the 269/67 km marker on the New Bongaigaon-Guwahati double railway track, dressed in blue jeans and a pink shirt.
Upon notification, officers from the railway police station at Bijni railway station promptly arrived at the scene. They retrieved the body and transported it to the police station for further investigation.
In a separate incident, a journalist from Guwahati was found dead on October 21 in what appears to be a case of suicide. The deceased, identified as Arnab Ray, had been residing in a rented accommodation at Sewali Path, Juripar in the Hatigaon area.
The circumstances surrounding Ray’s death remain unclear, with authorities yet to establish the motive behind his apparent suicide. Local police responded to the scene and have launched an investigation to ascertain the factors leading to this tragic incident.
As investigations continue, both cases raise significant concerns about the safety and mental health of individuals in the region.
