Guwahati: As many as five persons were injured and one person was killed after a wedding party’s vehicle crashed into a ditch in Doboka under Hojai district of Assam.
The incident took place while the wedding party was travelling from Kaki to Kathiatoli in the early hours of Saturday.
According to reports, the car with the licence plate “AS 01EY 5695” skidded off the road, lost control and crashed fell into a 25-feet gorge.
The deceased person has been identified as Madhurjya Bordoloi.
Following the incident, the injured were carefully removed from the destroyed car and rushed to a hospital in Hojai for treatment.
However, the local police later reached at the spot and recovered the body.
