Assam: Vijayadashami Celebrated with 150-Foot Ravan Effigy in Mirza

Guwahati, 25th October: Dussehra was celebrated with grandeur in Mirza, located in Assam’s Kamrup district on Tuesday.

On the occasion of Vijayadashami, a 150-foot tall effigy of Ravan was ceremoniously burnt in the presence of Assam Forest Minister Chandra Mohan Patowary and local BJP MLA Hemanga Thakuria, as per an official release.

A significant crowd gathered to witness the Ravan Daharn during the programme.

BJP MLA of Palasbari assembly constituency Hemanga Thakuria mentioned that the Sarpara Friends Club organized the Dusshera Utsav in celebration of Vijaya Dashami and Dussehra.
