Assam: Violent Clash in Dibrugarh’s Marwari Patti Involves Local Youth and Businessman
Guwahati, 19th September: A violent altercation erupted in the Marwari Patti area of Dibrugarh on Wednesday night, involving Abed Ahmed, a local youth, and Akhtar Raja Khan, a businessman widely known as Tikru Khan. The incident, which has attracted the attention of local authorities, stems from allegations against Khan, who is reportedly involved in illegal cattle and goat trade.
According to Ahmed, a resident of Panchali, the confrontation began after he urged Khan to halt his alleged illegal activities in the neighborhood. The argument escalated when Khan reportedly attempted to assault Ahmed with a stick.
Ahmed has since filed a formal complaint at the Dibrugarh Sadar Police Station, calling for legal action against Khan. In response, Khan has lodged a counter-complaint, leading to an ongoing police investigation into the matter.
