Assam: Wild Elephant Attack Claims Life in Jagiroad

Guwahati, 15th June: Jagiroad, Assam, witnessed a tragic incident as one person lost his life in a wild elephant attack at South Dharamtul under the Morigaon district.

The victim, identified as Teron from Mohkhali village, was attacked by a wild elephant on the verandah of his house. The unpredictable nature of wildlife encounters in these areas has been highlighted by villagers, who are deeply saddened and concerned by the incident.

Teron’s untimely death has enveloped the region in sorrow, emphasizing the ongoing challenge of man-elephant conflicts in Assam. This incident underscores the urgent need for enhanced measures to mitigate such conflicts and ensure the safety of both human lives and wildlife in the region.
