Assam: Wild Elephant Rampage in Nam-Kamakhya Leaves Two Houses Severely Damaged
Guwahati, 5th June: In a chilling incident in the village of Nam-Kamakhya, wild elephants caused extensive destruction, leaving the residents in a state of fear and anxiety.
The terrifying event unfolded in the dead of night when wild elephants demolished two homes, severely disrupting the lives of the affected families. One of the houses belonged to Manjuli Bhuyan. As the elephants began tearing through their home, Manjuli, her husband, and their daughter managed to escape unharmed, despite the chaos and destruction around them. The family had been asleep when the attack occurred, making their escape all the more harrowing.
In another incident, the house of Deepak Bhuyan also fell victim to the elephants’ rampage. Both families now face the daunting task of rebuilding their homes and lives in the wake of the devastation.
The ongoing threat posed by wild elephants in the region has raised serious concerns among the villagers. They are urgently calling for immediate action from the authorities to prevent further incidents and ensure their safety. The community is anxiously awaiting measures to mitigate the risk of such dangerous encounters in the future.
