Assam Woman Arrested For Alleged Nexus With Bangladeshi Terror Outfit

Guwahati: In its crusade against Ansarullah Bangla Team (ABT), a woman has been apprehended by Assam Police for her alleged links with Bangladeshi terror outfit Ansarul Islam in Dhubri district of Assam.

The woman has been identified as 22-year-old Jahura Khatun.

According to reports, Jahura Khatun was arrested from Naeralga Part II village.

Police claim that her husband identified as Abu Tallah, is also sought after because of his alleged affiliation with the terrorist group.

Police further claimed that Khatun had been attempting to defend those connected to Ansarul Islam.

Moreover, two mobile phones were seized from her possession, one of which was burned.

Later, a judicial magistrate court remanded Khatun into detention.

Two people, including an Imam who runs a Madrasa were recently detained in Morigaon on suspicion of having ties to terrorists
