Assam: Woman Detained in Dhubri’s Gauripur as Police Crack Down on Drug Trade
Dhubri, Assam– In a decisive move against the region’s drug menace, Balajan police in Dhubri district conducted a targeted raid in the Sahebganj-Naisarkuti area of Gauripur, resulting in the detention of a woman identified as Alima Bibi.
During the operation, police seized ten bottles of illicit cough syrup and eight packets of intoxicating tablets. Authorities allege that Alima Bibi had been operating an underground drug network in the area for a prolonged period, exploiting vulnerable communities and fueling addiction.
