Assam Youth Allegedly Killed in Kanpur, Family Suspects Roommate’s Involvement
Guwahati, 13th January: A 25-year-old youth from Assam’s Barpeta, identified as Sadek Miyan, was allegedly killed in Uttar Pradesh’s Kanpur on January 8. Sadek had been working in a plastic company in Kanpur for a year.
He lived with another Assam youth, Asuruddin Ali, in the same room. The family suspects a fight over money, as Sadek had recently withdrawn Rs 50,000 to send home for Magh Bihu.
Allegedly, an argument over money escalated, leading to Asuruddin Ali stabbing Sadek to death. The family has filed an FIR against Asuruddin Ali in a local Kanpur police station.
