Guwahati, 27th August: In a shocking incident, a youth named Kapil Bora was allegedly murdered by his friends over a love rivalry in Moran, located in Assam’s Dibrugarh district. Kapil, a first-year student at Moran College, was originally from Demow in Sivasagar district.
According to sources, two of his friends lured him to a secluded spot at a tea estate, where they allegedly strangled him to death. Kapil, trusting his friends, went along with them without any suspicion. The motive behind this brutal act is believed to be related to a love affair.
Local police discovered Kapil’s body and quickly launched an investigation, leading to the arrest of the two suspects. One of the accused has been identified as Raja Das, while the identity of the second individual is yet to be disclosed. Both suspects have reportedly confessed to the crime during interrogation.
The incident has sent shockwaves through the community, with authorities continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the murder.
