Guwahati, 29th June: A disturbing incident unfolded on June 28 in Jorhat, as a youth was arrested for allegedly assaulting a police personnel who was at a residence to summon an individual for a case.
According to initial reports, constable Abjal Hussain had gone to the home of Pabitra Bora in the Maloukhat area of Jorhat for official purposes. Unexpectedly, Rantu Bora reportedly attacked constable Hussain without provocation, forcibly removing his police uniform.
In response to the incident, the Pulibar police station swiftly filed a case against Rantu Bora and took him into custody for his actions.
