Guwahati, 29th January: In a tragic incident, Lakhinath Bhumij, a youth from Assam’s Sivasagar district, was allegedly found dead under mysterious circumstances in Andhra Pradesh. The deceased was discovered on a railway track, and the cause of death is yet to be determined. Lakhinath Bhumij, a resident of Amguri, had traveled to Bengaluru with three friends in search of employment. The circumstances surrounding his demise are under investigation.
This incident follows another case where Juwed Ali, a 40-year-old man from Kahikuchi, Assam, was found dead under mysterious circumstances in Kolkata. Juwed Ali, who embarked on a journey to Chennai in search of work, was discovered lifeless near the Howrah railway station in Kolkata. The West Bengal Police have contacted Ali’s family in Assam, who face financial constraints in bringing his body back. The family has appealed to the Assam Government for assistance in repatriating Juwed Ali’s remains.
