Guwahati: In a tragic incident, a youth from Assam was found dead in Mumbai of Maharashtra on Friday night.
The deceased youth has been identified as Karthik Das, was a resident of Hajo.
According to reports, Karthik had gone to Mumbai in search of work.
Reportedly, Kartik was recovered dead near Kurla train station late Friday.
After receiving information, local police officials reached the spot and recovered the body for post mortem.
Police said that Karthik passed away as a consequence of a bizarre incident that took place late last evening at the station.
The victim’s family has requested assistance from the Assam government in bringing the victim’s mortal remains home because they are unable to do so due to financial constraints.
