Assam Youths Trapped In Forced Labour In Arunachal
Guwahati: As many as nine youths hailing from Moran, Assam have been allegedly duped and trapped into forced labour in Arunachal Pradesh, their family members claimed.
They stated that the youths were recruited for job in Silapathar on November 5 by an individual named Michael Sador.
However, they were later taken to Aalo, Arunachal Pradesh, where they were allegedly being forced into labour.
Additionally, the youths relatives claimed that their employers had tortured them physically and mentally.
“If any of the boys asked to go home, they threaten them with dire consequences one way or the other”, a family member said.
He added that although a case was registered at the Moran police station, no action has been taken as of yet.
The family members have also requested that the district government investigate into the situation.
