Guwahati: Popular Assamese artist Nil Pawan Baruah was admitted into the Guwahati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) on Wednesday after experiencing fever for a few days.
According to reports, the artist was admitted at around 11.20 pm having had a high temperature for the previous 13 days.
His oral intake has reduced over the past ten days, and hospital staff reported that he has been sleepy for the past four days.
Fine creps in Baruah’s left hemithorax were found during exams after he was taken to the intensive care unit (ICU), doctors informed.
He is receiving care while being watched over by Dr. Anjana Devee.
Tests also revealed that he had been sleepy and afebrile. The hospital administration further disclosed that they intended to transfer him to 64 ICU on BN 14’s fourth level.
