Assam’s Active COVID-19 Cases Drop to Six, Two More Recoveries Reported
Guwahati: In a positive development, Assam’s active COVID-19 case count has dipped to just six, as per the latest data released by the Union Health Ministry. The state reported two additional recoveries in the past 24 hours, reflecting a steady decline in infections during the current wave.
The ministry’s update indicates that since January 2025, a total of seven individuals in Assam have recovered from COVID-19. Despite the low number of cases, health authorities continue to monitor the situation closely.
At the national level, India currently has 6,133 active COVID-19 cases, with six new deaths reported in the latest 24-hour period. However, officials have clarified that the majority of current infections are mild and being effectively managed under home isolation protocols.
Public health experts continue to advise caution, emphasizing vaccination, hygiene, and early testing for symptoms to ensure the virus remains under control.
