The government of India will set up first ever Bamboo Industrial Park in the North-East India. The industrial park will be set up in Manderdisa in Assam’s Dima Hasao district. The Union Minister of State for the Development of North Eastern Region, Jitendra Singh earlier announced in his tweet that the project will be built on area of 75 hectares at a total cost of Rs 50 crores.
The project will be completed by March 2021 and further the central government is also planning to set up Bamboo Park in the capital of Arunachal Pradesh, Itanagar which project will be taken up by North Eastern Council (NEC).
