Assam’s Kokrajhar Celebrates 76th Republic Day with Patriotic Fervor and Unity
Guwahati: Assam’s Kokrajhar district joined the nation in celebrating the 76th Republic Day with immense enthusiasm and pride.
The central event, organized by the district administration, was held at the Kokrajhar Government Higher Secondary and Multipurpose Ground, where the spirit of patriotism resonated through various activities.
The celebrations began at 9 a.m. with the hoisting of the national flag by Pramod Boro, Chief Executive Member (CEM) of the Bodoland Territorial Council (BTR).
The act symbolized the pride and patriotism of the occasion, setting the tone for the day’s events.
Following the flag hoisting, a grand parade and guard of honor were presented by the Assam police, NCC cadets, and students from various schools.
The participants showcased remarkable discipline and dedication, reflecting their reverence for the nation and its symbols.
The event was graced by prominent dignitaries, including BTC Legislative Assembly Speaker Katiram Boro, local MLA Lawrence Islary, BTR Executive Members Ranjit Basumatary and Wilson Hasda, MCLA Madhav Chetry, BTC Principal Secretary Akash Deep, District Commissioner Masanda Partin, and the District Superintendent of Police. Their presence underscored the importance of the occasion and added to the grandeur of the celebration.
Cultural performances and patriotic activities by students highlighted the day, showcasing the unity and diversity that define India. The performances celebrated the rich heritage of the nation and paid tribute to its constitutional values.
