Assam’s Minuma Boro Saves 18 Lives During Pilgrimage Crisis
Guwahati, 21st September: In a remarkable display of bravery, Minuma Boro, a 55-year-old woman from Kolibari, has been celebrated for saving the lives of 18 women during a pilgrimage to Kedarnath and Badrinath.
The group embarked on their spiritual journey on September 12, but tragedy struck when their hired driver from Delhi suffered a fatal heart attack while navigating treacherous mountain roads. With the vehicle precariously positioned on dangerous terrain, panic ensued among the passengers.
Undeterred by the crisis, Minuma quickly stepped into action. Demonstrating exceptional composure and driving skills, she took control of the vehicle and successfully maneuvered it to safety, ensuring that all 18 women escaped unharmed.
Her quick thinking and fearless response have made her a local hero, with the community praising her resilience in the face of adversity. Minuma Boro’s courageous act has left an indelible mark, symbolizing strength and heroism amidst challenging circumstances.
