Assam’s Preparing For The Grand Bihu Event

Guwahati: Assam is making a major push to break the world record for the biggest Bihu performance at the Rongali Bihu festival to be held in April by holding workshop in 31 districts.

About 11,140 folk dancers and musicians will be performing at Guwahati’s Sarusajai Stadium on April 14.

The performers practicing  for Bihu event on the final day of their training video has gone viral. The video shows the performers playing Dhols in sync and rhythm.

The event is organised under the initiative of  Assam’s Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and Prime Minister Narendra Modi is also anticipated to attend.

The video was uploaded on Facebook by one of the performers named Maina Rajbonshi. . He wrote,” Bihu Rocks…Final Day of Master trainer @ Sarusajai Stadium.”

The video has garnered many views and comments, , with people their excitement expressing for the event. One viewer commented, “Excellent,” while another proudly stated, “Proud to be an Assamese.
