Assam’s R-Day Tableau To Showcase Rang Ghar, Shiva Dol
Guwahati: Rang Ghar and Shiva Dol, the pride of the Ahom kingdom will take part in the republic day parade in New Delhi on January 26 in a historic moment for the people of Assam.
On this Republic Day Parade, Assam Tableau would reflect Vir Lachit Barphukan on the boat and the Maa Kamakhya Temple.
The tableau in New Delhi is receiving finishing touches from artisans from the state. Various ministries and state tableaus could participate in the parade’s practise on January 24.
Senior officials from the Directorate of Cultural Affairs, Assam, are camping in New Delhi to make the state tableau a success.
The 400th anniversary of the legendary Ahom commander’s birth is being commemorated by a state tableau that honours his bravery.
Notably, the tableau also includes imitations of Shivadol and Rang Ghar. The nation and the world will see Vir Lachit and Maa Kamakhya in this tableau.
The State Government celebrated the birth anniversary for three days in New Delhi with the participation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Union Finance Nirmala Sitharaman.
On the other hand, the BSF’s first-ever female contingent will ride camels alongside their male counterparts in 2023 as part of the renowned BSF Camel Contingent, which has participated in Republic Day celebrations since 1976.
Renowned designer Raghavendra Rathore represented India’s myriad unique craft traditions in the Mahila Praharis’ attire. They were produced around the country and assembled on-site at the Raghavendra Rathore Jodhpur studio.
The Mahila Praharis uniform for the BSF Camel Contingent brand incorporates historical sartorial and cultural elements from Rajasthan.
